Kvarner bay includes some of Croatian islands (Cres, Krk, Pag, Rab and Losinj) as well as coastline cities and towns (Rijeka, Opatija, Lovran, Crkvenica, Senj, Krk, Rab, Cres). The island of Krk is the most northerly island on the Mediterranean and is located in the Kvarner bay. It is the largest island on the Adriatic with a surface area of 409km². Small old town Vrbnik with a population of 950 people perched on a rocky outcrop 50m above the Adriatic Sea on the east coast of the island of Krk with a view on the coast line.
