Villa Stancia Contrada is a luxury getaway with istrian roots with a large estate and a heated pool, situated only 6km away from Svetvincenat and 25km from Pula.

Istria is one of the most famous tourist regions in Croatia. It is known for its rich gastronomic offer, excellent wines and olive oils. In addition to the gastronomic offer, Istria can also boast of numerous cultural events and beautiful cities, on the coast and inland, each of which has its own rich history. The medieval town Svetvinčenat, situated in the south of the central part of Istria, is one of Istrian jewels in which the tourist offer has taken on a new life over last several years, especially through various events which are held in exceptionally attractive historical locations of this little town.

Stancia Contrada spreads over 245m² of living space with a property of 12,000m². The villa consists of main building with two floors, summer kitchen with tavern and wine celler and pool house. Stancia has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and it is ideal for accommodation for up to 8+2 persons.

Stancia Contrada is the authentic Istrian traditional style house, decorated with a combination of specific modern and traditional Istrian style with carefully selected decor details. Built in a distinctive style in the early 20th century on a beautiful estate. It was completely renovated in 2019, for those who love beauty, maximum comfort, peace and privacy in an idyllic surrounding of Mediterranean macchia, various trees and flowers.

Stancia is spacious, completely air-conditioned. The ground floor is dominated by a large living room with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and separate TV/reading room. Villa has three terraces which allow guests to stay outdoors in the sun or in the shade of a beautiful pergola throughout the day, and enjoy a nice panoramic view of the Istrian countryside. Upper floor is considered as sleeping area. It has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, two of which are en-suite.

Opposite the main house there is a tavern and wine cellar. It has a large fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and a massive wooden table for 10-12 people, where they can come together to eat and drink, chat and sing. In the wine cellar you can find a wide selection of excellent Croatian wines (extra charged).

Surrounded by lawns and flowers, there is a 60m² swimming pool and a pool house with a covered terrace. Inside the pool house there are sauna, jacuzzi, shower, toilet and a well equipped fitness and play rooms. In the garden, among carefuly selected Mediterranean plants, you can also find a playground for the young ones and a boccia court (including three boccia sets). Staying in Stancia Contrada will give you the best of what beautiful Istria has to offer.

Location of the Villa Stancia Contrada offers a perfect balance of peacefulness and private enjoyment away from a city rush and yet well known tourist destinations on the coast are easy to reach. Fazana, small coastal town with a harbour from where you can take a boat trip to one of the national parks in Croatia – Brijuni. Fazana has a large pebble beach with a possibility of numerous water sports and activities. Great restaurants, cafés and stores can be found in Svetvincenat (St. Vicenat), a charming quiet town in Central Istria, known for not only its historical and cultural sites but for excellent wine and delicious Istrian cuisine: home-made Istrian prosciutto (prsut), Istrian pasta (fuzi) and Mediterranean home-made specialities. Svetvinčenat, Savičenta, San Vincenti, three names for the same place, deriving from the name of its patron, Hispanic martyr Saint Vincent and the abbey holding the same name around which the town has developed. The renaissance town of Svetvinčenat, one of the pearls of Istria, which has become a tourism hot spot due mainly to the many events taking place in the attractive historical corners of town. The very heart of Svetvinčenat is its main square, called „Placa“, together with Morosini-Grimani castle, the landmark of the place and one of the most important Venetian fortifications in Istria. What makes the cultural heritage of Svetvinčenat a memorable experience are the wall frescoes to be found in St Vincent’s chapel next to the cemetery and in St Catherine’s church. Each years, this special little town is home to many visitors attracted by its rich tradition and its interesting and diverse events, among which the best known are the Medieval festival, the Cheese festival and the Dance and non-verbal theatre festival.
