When you think of a holiday in Croatia, you probably picture the sea, Dubrovnik and great beaches. But lately, Croatia has been attracting attention for another major reason: a world-class culinary scene that keeps growing every year.
Croatia is great if you're a foodie and love authentic Mediterranean food. People here are genuinely passionate about good eating and drinking and that energy is contagious. Unlike many global destinations, you can still easily find food that is locally grown and fresh. On top of that, the country produces world-class olive oils and exceptional local wines, and every good restaurant will have thos local products.
There are so many restaurants in Croatia, some internationally acclaimed. But the best ones are often accessible only by boat and you have to make a reservation for week prior to arriving.
Fine dining in the North: The Michelin shine of Istria and Kvarner
The northern part of the Croatia coast currently holds the crown for high-end cuisine. If you stay in a premium villa in Kvarner or Istria, top-tier restaurants are practically your neighbours.
Check out exceptional places like Nebo in Rijeka and Alfred Keller on the island of Lošinj. A bit further away, in Istria, Rovinj has become a true phenomenon with three Michelin-starred restaurants: Monte, Cap Aureo and Agli Amici, which proudly holds two stars. Poreč has also recently joined this elite club with its own new star at Harry's Piccolo (brand new in 2026!)
Right where the north meets Dalmatia, the unique rocky (and Mars-like) island of Pag hides another culinary gem: the Michelin-starred Boškinac famous for its creative twist on traditional island heritage. Surrounded by old vineyards and olive trees, it is the ultimate place to taste world-class local lamb, famous Pag cheese and their signature estate wines

A table by the sea, lunch with friends and no reason to hurry. Leave an afternoon free for this
Dining in the South:
If your journey takes you south towards Dalmatia, the food scene takes on a completely new, more relaxed dimension. Besides Dubrovnik and its Michelin-starred Restaurant 360, the greatest luxury is a wild bay and a restaurant hidden from plain sight, serving the freshest possible fish.
Kornati: This national park hides several legendary taverns (konobas) in isolated bays, where sailors regularly stop for excellent lamb and fresh seafood.
Hvar & Šćedro: The Hvar archipelago is known for gastronomic oases tucked into pine forests. Nearby, the protected nature park of Šćedro is a paradise for those seeking peace, with family restaurants offering authentic meals in untouched nature.
Island of Vis: A true favorite for food lovers. You can try the legendary lobster stew at Pojoda in Vis town or experience a unique meal at Senko in a remote bay, where the owner cooks whatever he caught that day. You can easily eat here if you decide to stay at one of our most unique villas- Lighthouse Villa Serenity.
We can say that each Croatia island has a restaurant everybody's talking about, but you probably won't find them on any official lists. Feel free to ask us for local recommendations.

Private chef at your service
The best part? When you are staying at a luxury villa in Croatia, you don't have to choose between modern comfort and local food. You can always hire a private chef. They will bring the fine dining experience straight to your summer home, preparing local specialties exactly to your taste.
Our villas offer everything you need for a stress-free stay: enjoy heated pools where the water is warm even in May or September, fast fibre internet if you need to take a business call and chargers for electric vehicles (like a Tesla or Porsche Taycan).
Close to home, far from ordinary
The best part is that Croatia is easy to reach. Our small country is just a short drive or a quick flight away from most European countries. During the summer, Croatia is packed with direct flight connections from almost every major European hub. We have directy flights to the USA also.
United Airlines offers a regular seasonal direct flight between Dubrovnik (DBV) and New York (Newark Liberty International Airport - EWR) and the flight takes approximately 10 hours and 20 minutes. Furthermore, traveling from the US has become completely seamless with the recently introduced direct United Airlines flight from New York to Split, bridging the transatlantic gap in just under 9 hours.
You can have it all in Croatia. Do business remotely or relax like there's no tomorrow. Eat at home with a private chef or explore Michelin restaurants and top wineries. Enjoy the privacy of your heated pool or go down to the beach.
The choice is completely yours. Hungry? Let's book your villa!
